Ini Pilihan Diet Tepat Bagi Anda yang Rutin Cuci Darah

Jakarta, Bagi pasien yang mengalami penyakit ginjal kronik dan harus menjalani terapi cuci darah rutin, ada hal lain yang harus diperhatikan, yakni diet. Ya, mengatur pola makan yang tepat dapat membantu menjaga kondisi tubuh tetap fit.

Ginjal adalah organ yang menyaring air dan mineral-mineral dari dalam darah dan membuangnya keluar tubuh. Seiring dengan lamanya penyakit ginjal yang dialami, kemampuan ginjal untuk menyaring darah menjadi semakin berkurang dan banyak zat tak terpakai menumpuk di dalam darah. Maka dari itu dilakukan cuci darah.

Hal pertama yang perlu diperhatikan adalah jumlah cairan yang masuk ke dalam tubuh Anda. Biasanya dokter akan memberikan batasan jumlah cairan yang boleh dikonsumsi, tergantung tingkat penyakit dan hasil cek darah.

"Yang saya tahu mungkin antara 800 mL-1,5 L cairan per hari. Yang dimaksud dengan cairan termasuk air, teh, kopi, sup, es krim, agar-agar, es batu dan minuman lainnya," ujar nutrisionis Leona Victoria Djajadi, MND, kepada detikHealth dan ditulis pada Kamis (30/10/2014).

Selain cairan, asupan lain yang perlu diperhatikan adalah protein. Ini karena protein berfungsi untuk menjaga dan memperbaiki fungsi-fungsi tubuh, serta mencegah infeksi. Akan tetapi konsumsi protein yang terlalu tinggi akan mengakibatkan naiknya jumlah urea (hasil pemecahan protein) dalam darah dan membuat berat kerja ginjal.

"Dokter Anda seharusnya sudah memberikan kriteria jumlah protein per berat badan bergantung di tahap mana penyakit Anda. Biasanya berkisar antara 0,8-1 gram protein per kilogram berat badan. Ingat, jumlah protein tidak sama dengan berat daging. Dalam 100 gr daging dada ayam tanpa lemak sama dengan 22 gr protein," imbuhnya.

Tambahan lainnya, Anda bisa menambahkan asupan fosfor, kalium (potassium) dan garam (sodium). Namun menurut Victoria, komposisi asupan ini berhubungan erat dengan hasil tes darah Anda dan seharusnya direkomendasikan oleh dokter.
